It’s been four long years since Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V was supposed to drop, with lead single, “Believe Me” featuring Drake prepping fans for an album that has yet to see the light of day.
Cash Money boss Birdman has largely been held responsible for the album delay, as Weezy tweeted “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.” Wayne also dissed Baby and Cash Money on his following mixtape, Sorry for the Wait 2.

Well, it appears Toni Braxton’s soon-to-be husband has finally confirmed that the highly anticipated album will drop before the end of 2018.
“You’ll get that this year,” the 49-year-old confirmed to Rap-Up. As far as release dates go, Birdman says, “that’s up to Tunechi.”
